Employee Benefits
Rock Creek Academy provides employees' comprehensive benefits to meet the needs of a diverse workforce. We currently offer the following benefits:
- Medical Insurance- Employee pays 20%; Rock Creek Academy pays 80% for a PPO through CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield
- Dental Insurance - Employee pays 40%; Rock Creek Academy pays 60% through Principal
- Blue Vision - Employee receives various discounts on eyecare services
- Short Term Disability Insurance - Rock Creek Academy pays 100%
- Long Term Disability Insurance - Rock Creek Academy pays 100%
- Sick Leave - Employee accrues 4 hrs. each pay period
- Personal Leave - Employee starts the beginning of each school year with 21 hours.
- Life Insurance - Rock Creek Acdemy pays 100% for employee to receive coverage for 1 year's salary up to a maximum of $100,000
- Flexible Spending Savings Plan - Allows employee to place a maximum of $1,500 of pre-taxed income into an account to be used for health realted expenditures.
- Dependent Care Savings Plan - Allows employee to place maximum of $5,000 of pre-taxed income into an account to be used for child care expenses.
- 401K Plan - Allows employee to place up to $15,500 of pre-taxed income into plan for retirement (Rock Creek Academy matches up to 6% of the employee's salary through an employee vesting plan).
- SmartBenefits Program - Allows employee to use pre-taxed income for Metro parking and transit services ($110 maximum for trans. and $200 maximum for parking).
- Smart Parking Program - Allows employee to use pre-taxed income for parking in our underground garage.
- Employee Assistance Program - Employees are able to receive help with the everyday challenges of life that may affect their health, family life, and a desire to excel at work. Services range from counseling for emotional problems to assistance for financial planning, child and elder care services and much more.
