For students and 10-Month Employees: Inclement weather decisions are dictated by The District of Columbia Public Schools. For example: If DC Public Schools are closed due to bad weather, then Rock Creek Academy will also be closed. If DC Public Schools open one or two hours late because of inclement weather, then Rock Creek Academy will follow the same opening time.
For Administrative offices (12 Month Employees): Employees will be notified via work email, the school's website and through the RCA Inclement Weather Hotline. (202-378-1400, x296). The Hotline is only operational during a period of possible inclement weather. IF DCPS schools have a delayed opening; Administrative offices will open at their regular times.
